Small teams
Updated January 15, 2024
Small teams are more effective than large ones. They move faster, communicate better, and produce higher quality work.
When teams get too big, coordination becomes the primary activity instead of creation. People spend more time in meetings talking about work than actually doing work.
We've found that teams of 2-3 people can accomplish remarkable things. They can make decisions quickly, iterate rapidly, and maintain a shared vision without extensive documentation or process.
If you need more than a small team to solve a problem, maybe the problem is too big. Consider breaking it down into smaller, more manageable pieces that small teams can tackle independently.
